Camp of Champions

IN THE COMMUNITY

Supported Charities

Our officers and employees have had the opportunity of serving on various boards and committees over the years.  We are appreciative of the charities and not-for-profits that strive each day to better the lives of those who find themselves in need.  We have chosen to identify several organizations with whom we can associate company-wide.  A number of factors went into this selection process: holding values in line with the teachings of Christ which are shared by the officers of our company; serving the communities in which we operate; promoting a cause whose beneficiaries may include some of our customers; and being locally-based in order to provide us an opportunity to make a difference here in Central Illinois.  Find out more about these organizations below!

CAMP OF CHAMPIONS USA

The founders of Camp of Champions USA believed it was important for Children to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.  Their vision led them to start a summer day camp for grade-school children.  In the summer of 1995 they began with 25 kids in one location in Pekin, IL.  Today, Camp of Champions USA operates locations throughout central Illinois serving around 350 children each week.

DRAGON'S CLOSET - PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

Pekin Community High School staff and volunteers operate a free "store" in the high school stocked with school supplies, clothing, food, hygiene products and other necessities that some students may not have adequate access to.  Any student in need may visit the Dragon's Closet to ensure these needs are met.

MIDWEST FOOD BANK

The mission of Midwest Food Bank is to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and malnutrition both locally and throughout the world, while also providing disaster relief, all without discrimination.  The incredible story of the growth of Midwest Food Bank from a small family farm in Bloomington, IL to a global distribution organization that distributes hundreds of millions of dollars of food to thousands of not-for-profit agencies each year--both locally in Illinois as well as throughout the United States, Africa, and Haiti--is truly miraculous.
